First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested an online, self-guided program called eParenting CARE for parents of children aged 8-13. The program teaches emotion regulation and supportive parenting strategies over five weeks. Researchers enrolled 67 parents in Canada to see if the program is feasible and acceptable, and to measure early changes in parent and child emotional health. Results will guide future larger trials.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
eParenting CARE Program (online behavioral intervention)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide an accessible, self-guided online tool to help parents improve their own emotion regulation and support their child's emotional well-being.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study (67 participants) with no control group, so results are preliminary. The program may not work for all families or may have limited long-term effects.
