Scientists test new Drug's ability to calm artificial lung inflammation

NCT ID NCT06677918

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether an oral drug called EP395 could reduce markers of lung inflammation in healthy adults. Researchers gave 40 participants either EP395 or a placebo for 21 days, then used a safe, inhaled substance to temporarily cause mild airway inflammation to measure the drug's effects. The main goal was to see how EP395 affects specific inflammation markers in blood and phlegm and to check its safety.
