Scientists weaponize herpes virus to fight deadly childhood brain cancer
NCT ID NCT07076498
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether a genetically modified herpes virus can safely help control an aggressive type of brain tumor called diffuse midline glioma. The virus is injected directly into the tumor during surgery after patients complete standard radiation treatment. Researchers will monitor 20 children and adults to see if the virus treatment is safe and if it shows any signs of slowing tumor growth.
