Summary
This study tested a short program called Making Connections Intervention (MCI) to help Black teenagers with depression feel more connected to treatment in urban schools. Researchers worked with 29 students in grades 6-12 to see if the program improved their engagement, reduced symptoms, and lowered barriers to seeking help. The goal was to find better ways to deliver mental health support to Black adolescents who often struggle to complete depression treatment.
