First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at how a structured endurance training program affects exercise tolerance in 43 postmenopausal women under 70 who had unexplained shortness of breath and were not very active. Researchers measured changes in cardiorespiratory fitness and muscle oxygenation to understand the benefits of aerobic exercise. The goal was to gather knowledge on how hormonal status might influence the body's response to exercise training.
