New scope treatment aims to quiet the pain of chronic pancreatitis

Summary

This study looks at whether a procedure called pancreatic endotherapy (using a scope to treat the pancreas) can improve quality of life and reduce pain in people with chronic pancreatitis. About 32 adults with painful chronic pancreatitis will be treated and followed for a year. The goal is to see if this treatment helps them feel better day-to-day.
