Hidden-Scar mastectomy trial seeks to transform breast cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT06569706

Summary

This study is testing a new, less invasive way to perform a mastectomy for breast cancer. It uses a small camera and tools inserted through a single cut in the armpit to remove breast tissue, aiming to hide the scar and preserve the nipple. The goal is to see if this endoscopic technique is safe, feasible, and leads to good cosmetic results for women with small to medium-sized breasts.
