Scientists probe hidden roots of endometriosis pain

NCT ID NCT00073801

Summary

This study aimed to understand why chronic pelvic pain occurs in women with endometriosis, as current treatments often only provide temporary relief. Researchers examined 78 women, including those with and without endometriosis-related pain, to investigate how hormones, the immune system, genes, and the nervous system might be involved. The goal was to gather detailed biological information to guide the development of better, more targeted treatments in the future.
