Scientists map the hidden pain pathways of endometriosis

NCT ID NCT06286371

Summary

This study aimed to understand how endometriosis causes pain by examining tissue from 15 women who had surgery. Researchers looked at how many nerves and blood vessels were in the tissue removed during surgery and measured chemicals linked to pain. The goal was to see if these factors were connected to the women's pain levels and to help surgeons determine how much tissue to safely remove.
