Blueberry compound joins fight against uterine cancer
NCT ID NCT03671811
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a natural antioxidant found in blueberries, called pterostilbene, to a standard hormone therapy (megestrol acetate) can better slow the growth of endometrial cancer. It involves 44 patients who are already scheduled for a hysterectomy. The goal is to see if the combination reduces tumor activity more than the hormone therapy alone during the few weeks before surgery.
