Study weighs keyhole vs. open surgery for endometrial cancer
NCT ID NCT06790004
First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks back at 700 patients with endometrial cancer to compare two surgical methods: laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) and laparotomy (open surgery). The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer complications and better long-term survival, especially for patients at higher risk of the cancer coming back. By analyzing data from multiple hospitals, researchers hope to guide doctors in choosing the safest and most effective surgery for each patient.
