Doctors test smarter surgery to reduce risks for uterine cancer patients

NCT ID NCT02658565

Summary

This study is testing whether doctors can tailor surgery for endometrial (uterine) cancer based on quick tissue analysis during the operation. The goal is to reduce unnecessary lymph node removal and its risks for low-risk patients while still fully treating high-risk patients. Researchers are following 401 patients to see if this tailored approach leads to similar cancer survival rates with fewer complications.
