First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study will check if two substances in spinal fluid (NSE and S100B) can help doctors predict how children with brain inflammation (encephalitis) will recover. About 90 children aged 1 month to 18 years will be observed. The goal is to see if these lab tests are better than current methods at forecasting outcomes.
