Summary
This study looked at over 11,000 people with type 2 diabetes and a certain type of heart failure to see if information from insurance claims could give the same results as a traditional drug trial. The goal was to learn when real-world data can be trusted to answer medical questions. No new treatments were tested; instead, the researchers compared a drug called tirzepatide to a placebo using existing records.
