First human tests begin for new drug in elderly volunteers

NCT ID NCT07219030

Summary

This is a very early study to see how a new drug called emraclidine moves through the body and how safe it is for healthy older adults to take. Researchers will give the drug to a small group of 32 elderly volunteers and closely monitor them for any side effects. The main goal is to gather basic information about the drug's safety and how the body processes it before testing it in people with specific illnesses.
