This study tests a 2-hour online class called Empowered Relief for 100 adults with advanced knee or hip osteoarthritis who cannot have joint replacement surgery. The class teaches simple pain management skills based on cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. Researchers will measure pain, physical function, and mood at 4 and 8 weeks after the class to see if it helps reduce suffering and improve quality of life.
