First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether losing weight, with or without exercise, can improve walking and emotional well-being in veterans who have had a stroke and are overweight. About 130 people aged 35-85 who had a stroke at least 6 months ago will take part. Participants will join a lifestyle program focusing on diet alone or diet plus exercise, and their progress will be compared to a waitlist group.
