First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a new nurse-led counselling program designed to help people with stable COPD manage emotional distress. Fifteen outpatients will receive ten counselling sessions over three months. The main goal is to see if the program is feasible, not to prove it works. Researchers will measure changes in distress using a new questionnaire.

Active substance

nurse-led counselling program

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a new way to support emotional well-being in people with stable COPD.

What could go wrong

This is a very small feasibility study with only 15 participants, so results may not apply widely. The program may not reduce distress or be practical in larger settings.
