Scientists test mind training to tame emotional storms in borderline patients
NCT ID NCT06772831
Summary
This study is testing a new training program that teaches people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) how to better manage their intense emotions. Researchers will work with 130 participants to see if learning specific thinking strategies can change brain activity and reduce BPD symptoms like mood swings and emotional distress. The training involves twice-weekly sessions over several weeks, with brain scans and symptom tracking to measure progress.
