Summary
This study tested whether applying Emla cream before a routine vaccination at 3 months old reduces pain in healthy babies. 72 infants received either Emla cream or a placebo cream. Researchers measured pain using a standard scale and crying time. The goal was to see if the cream makes shots less painful.
