Can an emergency MRI change your back injury treatment?
NCT ID NCT07265310
Summary
This study looked at whether adding an emergency MRI scan to the standard CT scan changes how doctors treat patients with serious back injuries from accidents. Researchers followed 150 adults who came to the emergency department with spine trauma and received both scans. They compared the treatment plan made after the CT scan to the plan made after seeing the MRI results to see if the extra imaging made a difference.
