Digital lifeline? app aims to sharpen emergency care in rural africa
NCT ID NCT07257705
Summary
This study tested a new mobile app designed to help nurses and clinical officers in a rural Ugandan hospital provide better emergency care. In a simulation setting, 15 clinicians used the app to manage pretend cases of severe diarrhea, seizures, and breathing difficulties, and also managed cases without it, so researchers could compare. The goal was to see if the app helped clinicians follow established medical guidelines more accurately and consistently, without involving real patients.
