Can eye movement therapy heal earthquake trauma? brain scans may tell

NCT ID NCT07206381

Summary

This study is testing whether a type of therapy called EMDR can help adults who experienced trauma from an earthquake in Turkey. 40 participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the therapy right away or be placed on a waitlist. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms like PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and also use brain wave recordings to see if the therapy causes physical changes in the brain.
