Summary

This study is testing a drug called eluxadoline to see if it is safe and can help children and teenagers (ages 6-17) who have irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). Researchers want to know if the medicine can improve stool consistency and reduce abdominal pain. The study is comparing different doses of the drug against a placebo (a pill with no medicine).
