NCT ID NCT04797000

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether eltrombopag, a drug that boosts platelet production, can help adults with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) who rely on platelet transfusions. About 36 Japanese participants will receive either eltrombopag or a placebo. The main goal is to see if more people can go without transfusions for at least 8 weeks by week 24.
