First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested whether electrostimulation and compression can reduce nerve pain and improve quality of life in 140 people with gastrointestinal cancer who developed nerve damage from oxaliplatin chemotherapy. Participants were split into four groups: control, electrostimulation alone, compression alone, or both together. The goal was to see if these simple, drug-free methods could ease symptoms like tingling, numbness, and pain.
