Sit in a chair to stop leaks? new device aims to strengthen pelvic muscles

NCT ID NCT04031014

Summary

This study tested a special chair that uses focused electromagnetic energy to strengthen pelvic floor muscles, aiming to reduce symptoms of stress and urge urinary incontinence (bladder leakage). The treatment is non-invasive—participants remained fully clothed—and was designed to deliver the equivalent of thousands of Kegel exercises in a short session. Researchers measured changes in leakage episodes and participants' overall impression of improvement.
