Zap therapy tested to help Kids' paralyzed arms after birth stroke

NCT ID NCT02975180

Summary

This small study tested a new therapy for children aged 3-6 with arm weakness from a stroke at birth. Researchers compared a therapy using gentle electrical stimulation (FES) to help muscles move during play, against standard arm exercises. The goal was to see if this technology could improve a child's ability to reach, grasp, and use their weaker arm in daily life.
