Massive study reveals key predictors of surgery complications in elderly
NCT ID NCT07259837
Summary
This study analyzed data from 8,751 patients aged 65+ who had elective surgery to understand how their health before surgery relates to complications afterward. Researchers looked at different assessment tools to see which ones best predict heart and stroke problems within 30 days after surgery. The goal was to help doctors better identify which older patients might face higher risks from surgery.
