First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested whether a 4-week program of eccentric hip exercises using elastic bands could improve hip strength and agility in young male basketball players aged 15-18. Twenty-one healthy players were split into two groups: one did the band exercises plus regular training, the other just regular training. Researchers measured hip strength and agility before and after the program to see if the bands made a difference.
