First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a wearable robot called Ekso helps people who recently had a stroke improve their walking and balance faster than standard physical therapy. Forty adults at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital took part. The robot supports the legs so patients can practice walking even when they are very weak. Researchers measured walking speed, endurance, and balance to see if the robot gave extra benefits.
