Summary

This study is testing a new bedside imaging technology called Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) to help doctors better manage ventilator settings for patients with severe ARDS. By creating real-time pictures of air and blood flow in the lungs, researchers hope to find the safest and most effective ventilator pressure for each patient. The goal is to reduce lung injury from the ventilator and improve patient outcomes like survival and time spent on the breathing machine.
