High-Tech imaging could Fine-Tune life support for critically ill kids
NCT ID NCT07402174
Summary
This study aims to see if using a special imaging technique called Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) can help doctors safely adjust ventilator settings for children with severe lung failure (ARDS). The goal is to make air flow more evenly in the lungs and reduce potential harm from the ventilator itself. Eight children with ARDS will have their ventilator settings carefully adjusted while doctors watch their lungs with the EIT monitor.
