Summary

This study tested whether eating whole eggs helps older adults build more muscle when combined with strength training. Researchers enrolled 36 men and women aged 50-69 who performed 12 weeks of resistance exercise while consuming either 0, 1, or 3 whole eggs daily. The study also checked whether this egg consumption affected participants' blood cholesterol levels or other heart health markers.
