First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eating whole eggs (which contain cholesterol) helps people aged 50-69 gain more muscle from resistance training compared to eating only egg whites. Thirty-six participants did strength exercises and ate either whole eggs or egg whites. Researchers measured muscle gain, blood cholesterol, and other health markers to see if dietary cholesterol affects muscle growth.
