First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at whether eating whole eggs (with cholesterol) helps people aged 50-69 gain more muscle from resistance training compared to eating only egg whites. Participants did strength exercises and ate either whole eggs or egg whites. Researchers measured muscle gain, blood cholesterol, and other health markers. The goal was to see if dietary cholesterol from eggs can boost muscle growth without harming heart health.
