First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests an IV medicine called efgartigimod in teens aged 12 to 18 who have had immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) for over a year. ITP causes low platelet counts, leading to bruising and bleeding. The goal is to find the right dose and see if it safely raises platelet levels. Participants first receive either the drug or a placebo for up to 24 weeks, then everyone gets the drug for up to two more years.
