Lung machine and kidney health: a new connection?
NCT ID NCT07368868
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at 76 adults with severe pneumonia who needed a lung machine (ECMO) in the intensive care unit. Researchers wanted to see if giving the lungs a rest with this machine changed how well the kidneys worked. They used information already collected from patients, so no extra tests or visits were needed.
