Can tight blood sugar fix good cholesterol in type 1 diabetes?
NCT ID NCT07564752
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether improving blood sugar control in people with type 1 diabetes can restore the function of 'good' cholesterol (HDL) to normal levels. Researchers will compare 80 patients with poorly controlled diabetes who receive standard intensive therapy to 63 healthy volunteers. The goal is to understand how blood sugar affects heart health, not to test a new treatment.
