Brain waves in the O.R.: can monitoring reduce Kids' Post-Surgery agitation?

NCT ID NCT06400706

Summary

This study tested if using a brain wave (EEG) monitor during general anesthesia for children's dental procedures could help. Researchers compared two groups of kids aged 4-10: one had standard anesthesia monitoring, and the other had their brain activity monitored to guide anesthesia levels. The goal was to see if this brain wave guidance could reduce post-surgery confusion and agitation in children, and potentially lower the amount of anesthesia medication needed.
