ER program aims to break cycle of opioid addiction

NCT ID NCT05327166

Summary

This study is testing whether a new support program started in the emergency room can help people with opioid addiction. The program provides education, motivation, help starting medication treatment, and three months of follow-up care. Researchers want to see if this approach helps people use fewer opioids, start addiction treatment more often, and visit the ER less.
