Scientists probe how antibiotics reshape our Skin's hidden world
NCT ID NCT01631617
Summary
This study aims to understand how common eczema treatments, including antibiotics and bleach baths, change the community of bacteria living on the skin. Researchers will observe 130 healthy volunteers and people with moderate-to-severe eczema over one year, collecting skin samples to track these changes. The goal is to gather knowledge about the long-term effects of these treatments on the skin's microbiome, not to test a new cure.
