Lung transplant study tests best way to use Heart-Lung machine

Summary

This study looks at two ways of using a heart-lung machine (ECMO) during lung transplants: using it for every patient or only when needed. The goal is to find out which method leads to fewer complications and better recovery. About 218 adults getting a lung transplant will take part.
