Summary
This study looked at whether ECMO, a machine that does the work of the heart and lungs, helps people with severe COVID-19 who have lung failure or heart failure. Researchers tracked 761 patients across France to see how many survived and how quickly they recovered. The goal was to understand if ECMO is a useful option for the sickest COVID-19 patients.
