New study tests Ultrasound-Only method for heart valve replacement to spare kidneys and cut radiation

Summary
This study tests whether using only ultrasound (echo) to guide a minimally invasive heart valve replacement is as effective as the standard method that uses both X-ray and ultrasound. The goal is to reduce the risk of kidney damage from contrast dye and lower radiation exposure for patients and doctors. About 212 people aged 70 and older with severe aortic stenosis will take part.
