Doctors look back to improve Life-Saving breathing treatment

NCT ID NCT07161271

Summary

This study looks at past medical records to understand how well and how safely a special therapy works for ICU patients with severe breathing failure. The therapy, called low-flow ECCO2R, helps remove carbon dioxide from a patient's blood. Researchers will review data from about 60 adults to learn which patients benefit most and how to make the treatment safer.
