Can moving sooner after knee fracture surgery speed up recovery?
NCT ID NCT07251699
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether starting weight bearing and active knee exercises soon after surgery for a tibial plateau fracture (a type of knee break) helps reduce pain, improve knee movement, and support bone healing. About 28 adults aged 18 to 50 who had a specific type of fracture fixed with plates and screws will take part. They will be split into two groups: one starts early weight bearing and active exercises, the other starts with passive motion and delayed weight bearing.
