Race against time: does faster kidney help save lives on Heart-Lung machines?
NCT ID NCT06696235
Summary
This study aims to find out if starting a kidney support machine earlier than usual is better for patients with severe heart failure who are also on a heart-lung life support machine. It will compare the safety and effectiveness of early treatment versus the standard timing in about 408 critically ill patients. The main goal is to see if this approach helps more patients survive without needing long-term dialysis.
