Gout treatment timing tested: start now or wait?
NCT ID NCT05109936
Summary
This study is testing whether starting a long-term gout medication called febuxostat immediately after a painful flare-up works as well as the current standard of waiting 6 weeks. It involves 128 adults in France who are having a gout attack. The goal is to see if early treatment controls the disease just as effectively without causing more early flare-ups.
