First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study aims to find people at risk for type 1 diabetes (T1D) by testing for specific markers in the blood called autoantibodies. Children and adults aged 1 to 45 who have a family member or close friend diagnosed with T1D before age 45 can join. Participants give a small blood sample; if autoantibodies are found, they will be invited for further monitoring. The goal is early detection, not treatment.
